Nourish

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 27, 2026

Nourish stores your kitchen — recipes, plans, pantry, shopping lists, and chef chats — in a private database scoped to your signed-in account. We do not sell this data or use it to train our own models.

What we collect

Your email account identity, kitchen content you create, and support messages you send through Contact.

AI processing

When the chef is available, recipe and chat requests are processed by Groq using the GPT-OSS 120B model. Requests include your message and relevant saved diet, allergy, dislike, household, calorie-target, pantry and recent conversation context. Groq does not retain inference inputs and outputs by default. It may log them for troubleshooting or suspected abuse for up to 30 days, or longer if legally required. Usage metadata is retained. We do not claim that a separate Zero Data Retention setting is enabled. Read Groq's data policy. Do not put secrets in prompts. Nourish does not automatically send your email, account ID or password to the model. There is no automatic paid-model fallback.

Payments and access

When paid passes are available, Square hosts checkout and processes payment details. Nourish stores an account-bound order reference, pass, amount, payment status and access dates so it can verify your purchase. Nourish does not receive or store your full card number. Trial and request-allowance records are stored with your account. Passes never renew automatically.

Hosting and storage

Nourish runs on Netlify and stores account and kitchen records in Neon PostgreSQL. Your password is stored as a hash, not as readable text.

Retention

Delete recipes, pantry items, and chats from the app at any time. To delete your account, send a request from the Contact page while signed in.
